Round 3: *1 single crochet, 1 increase* Repeat around (18 stitches)
Round 4: *2 single crochet, 1 increase* Repeat around (24 stitches)
Round 5: *3 single crochet, 1 increase* Repeat around (30 stitches)
Round 6: *4 single crochet, 1 increase* Repeat around (36 stitches)
Round 7: *5 single crochet, 1 increase* Repeat around (42 stitches)
Round 8: *6 single crochet, 1 increase* Repeat around (48 stitches)
Round 9: *7 single crochet, 1 increase* Repeat around (54 stitches)
Round 10: *8 single crochet, 1 increase* Repeat around (60 stitches)
Round 11: *9 single crochet, 1 increase* Repeat around (66 stitches)

If you want a bigger base, you can continue making increases, making stitches multiples of 18. So you must make 3 rows of increases every time.
