¿Which are the most common combinations using knit and purl?
The most common is the stockinette stitch. It is made using one row knitting and in the next row purling

Mixing in the same row knit and purl we also con make textures.
One of them is the rib stitch, where you combine the knit and purl stitch 1x1 or 2x2. So, 1 knit, 1 purl, or 2 knit, 2 purl. Making in the next row the stitches that you find, where you find knit, knit and where you find purl, purl

Other combinations is the moss stitch, that is made like the elastic stitch but in the second row, where you find knit, purl. And where we find purl, knit

Once I know the two basic stitches, how can I increase and decrease to make differents shapes?
